Hi, I’m Maureen Fitzpatrick.

Years before the internet and online platforms for family history research, I was a frequent visitor at the Latter Day Saints library in Salt Lake City and at public libraries across America in pursuit of obituaries, and birth, death, marriage and immigration records on microfilm.

Using the dial-up service CompuServe in the early 1990s, I connected via the “Roots Forum” with a fellow genealogist in Northern Ireland and subsequently made dozens of Ireland visits to conduct primary research.  My husband and kids know that it’s impossible for me to pass a cemetery without taking an extended look around (and perhaps photographing the gravestones).

As an experienced genealogist, I am a stickler for ethics and best practices. Work is done with integrity, reliability, and respect for privacy – keeping your sensitive personal and historical data confidential.

While I began my professional life as a registered nurse, working in intensive care at a  busy, level one trauma center, I earned a bachelor’s degree in history.

My goal in establishing Irish Tree is to provide verifiable documentation of each client’s family history, delivering happiness and satisfaction along the way.

Thanks for visiting our site and for considering me as your research partner.isn’t just a business—it’s a reflection of what we believe in. We’re here to create work that matters, led by a shared commitment to quality and care.
